EU debt crisis: World finance ministers meet – LIVE

Europe’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council is gathering in Wroclaw, Poland, while in London the City is still digesting the arrest of UBS trader Kweku Adoboli

7.45am: It’s another crunch day for the world’s financial system. European finance ministers are gathering in the Polish city of Wroclaw to hold talks – US treasury secretary Tim Geithner has also flown in, a sign of America’s concern over the eurozone debt crisis.

Many experts believe we are close to a ‘major event’, after the world’s central banks came together on Thursday to flood the financial system with dollars.

In the London, the UBS “rogue trader” continues to loom over the City. We’ll be watching for more developments following the arrest of Kweku Adoboli.

And chancellor George Osborne is speaking in Manchester this morning, at the Telegraph Festival of Business, before heading to Poland. We’ll keep an eye on him too.
